Building Tour - January 2019

We held our most recent tour of the “guts” of tower 1 in January. We often take for granted that we have hot water, fire protection, and other safety measures in place. Council puts in a lot of volunteer hours to make sure all aspects of our building are up to code.

For those not as involved it does not hurt to see what and how our condo fees look after. Instead of a roofing job in my private home these are the kinds of things we all share. Such is the case now. After 30 years, we are finally getting that done. On a stand alone home, that would be every 15 years or so.

So as you scroll down the 6 photos take a look at the ventilator rooms, the control room for the elevators, water and electrical rooms. The caged photo is an area that is off limits to owners as it is rented to CBSA where they help maintain Canadian Border Security. We rent this room to them and they maintain it. any new owners wishing to have this tour, are encouraged to contact one of the Block Watch Captains or Council members where this can be arranged.
